Also called the "Bridal Veil Nebula" in Cygnus, NGC 6992
was visually discovered by William Herschel in 1784 with
his 18" telescope. A tri-color image using the Pictor 1616XT
with the 16" LX200 at f/6.3. Exposure data; 5 minutes in
red, 20 minutes in green, and 20 minutes in blue.
