These adapter rings are required to double-stack a second external primary Etalon filter onto older models of the SM line. Telescope and double stacking filter sold separately.
When double-stacking etalon filters, the original 0.7 angstrom bandpass of the Hydrogen-Alpha telescope is reduced to 0.5 angstrom, dramatically increasing visibility of surface detail such as granularity and active regions on the surface of the Sun.
Note, these adapter rings are only required to stack an additional etalon onto the original SM/SMT models. It is not required if you have a newer SME60 or SMIII system. Telescope and double stacking filter sold separately.
